Often times the messiest spaces in a home are the closets, where a mess can most easily be stored out of sight. While it’s important to keep a tidy home to share with guests, don’t underestimate how seeing a cluttered closet everyday makes you feel. Keeping a well organized closet, with personal touches and favorite pieces or images on display ensures that you start your day on the right foot and can even make getting ready in the morning fun!
Try thinking of your closest as a display space for all your favorite pieces. Consider taking a page from the way clothing stores present items, with special displays that are designed to show off each type of clothing. Larger or open closets offer the opportunity to display a favorite dress or jacket, hung facing out at the end of a rack. Sorting clothes by season, color or type, whatever works for you makes dressing in the morning a breeze.

15 Pair Stackable Shoe Organizer
Shoe collections can be the most fun to display, with so many different colors and styles. Proper shoe storage keeps them in good shape and ready to wear for years to come. The 15 Pair Stackable Shoe Organizer by Stack A Shelf is a stylish way to display and store shoes. Place shoes with one toe out and the other heel out so you can see the style and heel height, making the right shoes easy to find.
With multiple 15 pairs stackable shoe organizers you can gain enough storage for all your shoes. A shoe organizer with a solid top makes a great display space. Use it to store a jewelry box or create a display space for favorite photographs or accessories. No matter how small a closet, think of it as a room you live in, with decorative touches that make you smile every time you open the door.

Few things make my restless days better and brighter like a new shiny pair of shoes. I would not otherwise call myself a compulsive shopper, but shoes I simply cannot resist.
As you might have guessed, I accumulated a vast collection. I have five pairs of just black pumps, one for every little black dress in my closet. I have salsa dancing shoes, driving moccasins, office loafers, flirty flip-flops, comfy sneakers, sandals for every possible occasion and in every possible color, boots to go with skirts and boots to go with jeans, and a few extravagant heels that given the opportunity would greatly impress Lady Gaga.

shoe storage cubbies
It is only obvious that my pride and joy brought about the problem: where do I store all this stuff? For a long time all footwear was just piled on the floor of my closet, but when the pyramid started reaching dress hems I knew it was time for change. I needed more than just a conventional shoe rack, for those things usually accommodate no more than 12 pairs at a time, and I had many, many more.
Fortunately, today’s market is very sympathetic to the afflictions of a garden variety shoe aficionado. I found a great variety of shoe storage cubbies at Stacks and Stacks that flaunt both a stylish look and an ample capacity. Some are stackable, which is a definite plus for those with ever expanding footwear wardrobes. I personally prefer the ones with open storage sections for easy viewing, but the argument could be made that cubbies with doors have the advantage of keeping footwear dust-free. Smaller cubbies that double as seating benches are perfect for entryways and store your most frequently worn pairs where you need them most. Of course, tall multi-pair steel racks are perfect for those lucky few with walk-in closets.

10 Shelf Men's Hanging Shoe Organizer
Shoe storage is always an issue at my house; my wife and I are always tripping over loose pairs of shoes that are lying about in our hallway. The problem is that we have so many shoes for every different use imaginable; it is more convenient to have them sitting on the floor. Who would want to dig through the mess that is their closet in order to find their ice fishing spikes? I know I certainly do not.
My wife was getting fed up with all these shoes littering our otherwise spotless living room area. It was quickly becoming a point of contention until I found the solution on StacksandStacks.com. I was able to find the perfect shoe organizer for my many different styles of footwear. “What is this magical contraption?” you may ask, and indeed it is the 10 shelf men’s hanging shoe organizer.
By placing this shoe shelf in my closet, I instantly had quick and easy access to ten of my most used pairs of shoes. The openings face the front of the closet, so I am able to pick out the appropriate pair at a moment’s notice. I also love the fact that this organizer is so slim, allowing me to have plenty of room to hang my jackets and other clothes. I never have to worry about rips or tears with this hanging shoe rack because it is made from extremely durable cotton canvas.
This hanging shoe organizer is large enough to accommodate my big, manly work boots so it obviously is also perfect for storing my wife’s dainty high heels and night time slippers. The metal hangers make it really easy to hang from the center pole in the closet. Now my entryway is nice and clear and I never trip over my shoes anymore!

This new line of cubbies is great for shoes, toys and more! Kids are notorious for leaving their shoes all over the house , believe me, I know this! One way to get kids to organize, tidy up and generally keep better care of things is to use very colorful and easy to use storage containers! This new line of storage bins and cubbies, like the 6 Bin Storage Cabinet by Sourcing Solutions are just the thing you need to get started. These cubbies fit into both categories. First, they are colorful - this means that they will attract the eyes of even the tiniest tots. Another great thing about this is that if you have more than one child in the home, you can assign colors to each of them, so that everyone knows where his or her shoes go when he or she gets home! Another way to use this particular bin system is to have kids put things like backpacks and jackets in the top bin, shoes in the bottom bin. This will solve many problems with getting ready in the morning on time. The second most important thing about these storage bins is that they are very easy to use. Even little kids can pull the colorful bins in and out without much help.

This Week’s Product of the Week proves that shoe racks do NOT have to be dull. Read on for what is probably one of the most luxurious shoe racks you’ve ever seen. And, it’s more affordable than a custom built shoe organizer.
All I can say is WOW! This shoe organizer packs a punch in terms of style and function! You choose your wood tone, your size and your configuration to make a custom shoe rack that fits your needs exactly, at a fraction of the cost of a real custom built model. The Shoe Traps Modular Shoe Cubby System is one of the coolest shoe racks I’ve seen on the market. There are three different sizes of shoe boxes to choose from, large, medium and small. Each shoe cubby has a glass door on the front with a magnetic closure, it couldn’t be simpler to use! The glass doors are cool for three reasons. First, they look beautiful lined up next to one another, each framed in a wooden box. Second, they allow you to see what’s inside, and show off your colorful and beautiful pumps, flats and men’s shoes. And third, they keep dust, moisture and insects off of your shoes. A Spanish cedar lining offers the benefits of aromatic cedar, which acts as a natural insect repellent and also a natural deodorizer. So choose whatever variation works best for your shoe storage needs, and simply stack them together using the provided adhesive strips – very easy to use and looks great in the closet or anywhere in the bedroom or hallway. The wood choices include cherry, mahogany and maple finishes. For a more finished look, each color also has a platform available that can hold a couple of your choice of cubbies. All in all, I would say for the price, this is one of the best high-end style shoe racks available!

Hall Benches: A Place for You (and a place for Your Shoes)!
I love the idea of a hall bench in general. They give your home a refined look, defining any space with a suggested place to rest. Hall benches can be used in the bedroom, hallway or entryway. They are a great place for you to sit, and many of them have built in storage, too.
This is a sneaky way to get in some extra shoe storage in the home without taking up any extra space with a shoe rack, while still sticking to your favored decorating style. Speaking of style, hall benches are available in every type, from antique style gossip benches to elegant woods and even clean, contemporary style models. Oak, Cherry, Black, White, whatever bench you are looking for to match your home, you will have no problem finding it!
Here are different types of hall benches, and some tips on how you can use them as an [unexpected] shoe rack.
- Bench – A plain old bench is great for sitting while putting on your shoes. Keep this simple style at the end of your bed or in the entryway, with your most frequently used shoes underneath. Since this bench doesn’t have storage, you will need to protect the floor with a rug or even a thin sheet of clear plastic.
- Bench with drawers – This is nice for keeping purses, wallets and shoes handy by the front door – make sure to check interior drawer dimensions to see if they will fit your favorite shoes.
- Bench with Cubbies - Cubbies are always great for shoes, why not put some seating on top (After all, who doesn’t like to sit while putting their shoes on?) This one is designed exactly for this purpose – Shoe Cubby underneath and Bench on top. And, as I always say, kids love cubbies so you just might be able to get them to take their shoes off at the door this time!
